Wealthing is a management and investment philosophy centered on dynamic, collaborative wealth creation — not extraction, accumulation, or preservation. Money and success aren't zero-sum; wealth creation is an active process that elevates the individual, the organization, and society at once.
"When individuals leverage passion and legacy to lead high-impact organizations, they prosper together with their organizations, society and the economy, creating wealth together, not at the expense of one another."
— Alicia Castillo Holley, PhD
The Wealthing® Principles
Not a framework to memorize — a discipline to check yourself against, one line at a time.
Shift focus from isolated metrics to your impact across the whole ecosystem, to avoid obsolescence and unlock co-opetition.
"I actively seek out skills, perspectives, and relationships outside my immediate field to spot emerging shifts before they disrupt my career."
"We design products, services, and partnerships considering our broader social and environmental ecosystem, actively seeking 'co-opetition' with peers."
"Our portfolio allocation looks beyond short-term sector trends to back initiatives that build long-term systemic resilience across interconnected industries."
Generate new, generative value through collaboration, rather than extracting value through zero-sum competition.
"I aim to expand the total size of the pie for everyone involved in my projects rather than trying to negotiate the largest single slice for myself."
"Our business model relies on shared value creation with suppliers, partners, and customers rather than squeezing vendors or extracting maximum rent."
"We prioritize venture and growth investments that create net-new infrastructure, capabilities, or industries over purely speculative or extractive assets."
Prioritize execution and structured reflection over passive planning and endless discussion.
"I bias toward running small, real-world experiments quickly, followed immediately by honest reflection on what worked and what didn't."
"We foster a culture where rapid prototyping and post-project reviews drive strategy, favoring tested iterations over unexecuted plans."
"We actively deploy capital into real-world pilot projects with tight feedback loops rather than spending months in pure theoretical diligence."
Measure success by comparing where you are today against your past self, rather than benchmarking against external peers.
"I measure my progress by evaluating my personal skill, character, and wisdom growth compared to my past self — not against the lifestyles of others."
"Our operational reviews focus on whether we are continuously improving our core capability and culture year-over-year, rather than obsessing over rival vanity metrics."
"We evaluate our family legacy and office maturity against our own generational milestones rather than comparing returns against public peer benchmarks."
Harness inner drive and build on inherent talents, adopting a growth mindset to continuously expand capabilities.
"I dedicate time and energy to pursuits that genuinely ignite me, viewing capability as flexible and developed through effort rather than fixed trait limits."
"We align team members with roles that match their core passions and foster a continuous learning environment where failure is treated as feedback."
"We support family members and portfolio founders in pursuing their intrinsic passions, allocating patient capital toward their unique strengths."
Align capital, time, and talent around a deep sense of core purpose, letting profit serve as sustaining fuel rather than the ultimate goal.
"My daily efforts and financial decisions are guided primarily by my core values and the legacy I want to leave behind."
"Profit is our measure of sustainability and operational health, but our defining strategic decisions are anchored in our core mission."
"Our multi-generational strategy explicitly unifies financial capital with human and social capital around a shared family mission."
Programs
From a one-day intensive to a year-long, by-invitation venture practice built for family offices — each program applies the Wealthing® System to a different stage of building. This is where investors and founders become deal-ready, before capital ever moves through Wealthing VC Club.
For family offices building venture capability alongside their existing operating businesses. A working partnership, not a course: it builds internal deal-sourcing and diligence capacity in industries the family already understands, hosted across Silicon Valley, Zurich, and Brisbane.
For high-net-worth investors ready to invest, not just observe. Silicon Valley deal rooms, live case reviews, and direct time with active angels — built for accredited investors who want a real return, not vanity investing.
For individuals turning passion into a personal roadmap, across four movements: The Individual, Dreams, Goals, and Legacy — with three months of group mentoring after.
For founders raising capital, offered as a General Public track and a Women's Program track — covering unfunding, crowdfunding, angels vs. partners, venture capital, debt, valuation, and negotiation.
For business and non-profit leaders and public servants: three six-day tracks — Grow Up, Enterprise Funding, and Co-Creating Innovation — applying the Wealthing® System to scale, fund, and innovate collaboratively.
For scientists and inventors ready to commercialize their work: a distinctive mindset and practical tools for turning research into economic and social value, in Silicon Valley.
Programs are customized by cohort and availability. Contact the Institute — the Women's Program track also lives at womengetfunded.com.
